Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates! This post was planned for Thursday, but somehow, I did not manage to put it together. I have made lots of progress on my new furry blanket in past days (it is almost finished yay!) and cannot wait to share a quick wip today.
Good news is that my idea worked, and I have found a quite easy and quick way to work with fur yarn. Scheepjes Furry Tales in my case.
The test has been completed too and both testers (Laura Jackson and Loele van den Bergh) reported it was quick and fun. I am waiting for final pictures from them and will make a huge reveal in a week.
And so far, I thought it might be interesting for you to have a look at some sneaky peeks from me. The pattern will be written for two blanket versions: one-colored (or stripey) and squared.
If you are worried you would not manage the intarsia technique with fur, you can try your hand with a plain version. And later when you are confident enough, you can make another blanket with squares.
I chose five colors for mine: 970 Snow White, 985 Little Pig, 983 Tinkerbell, 978 Cinderella and 988 Aladdin. And Chunky Monkey in mid-grey for the border.
I am curious to hear your thoughts on this! And hope that full reveal will not disappoint you.
